A SCARCE 80-BORE PERCUSSION SELF-COCKING REVOLVER, MODEL 'DAW TYPE', no visible serial number,
circa 1854 and retailed by 'W. EGAN, BRADFORD', with octagonal 4 5/8in. barrel, the top-flat signed by the retailer, small blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight to the top of the standing breech, articulated under-barrel rammer marked 'VR PATENT No. 2056', wedge barrel fixing, plain six-shot cylinder with webbed nipple wells, borderline and scroll engraved open iron frame, chequered walnut grip with domed butt-cap fitted with a central trap and guarded trigger, some replacement screws
